Dynamic Parking Guidance System Heidelberg put into Operation
A celebration was held today to put the parking guidance system of the city of Heidelberg into operation. The Mayor of Heidelberg Dr. Würzner called the parking guidance system an important component to raise the attractivity of the city for customers, visitors and tourists. Messages of greetings were given also by our managing director Dr.-Ing. Manfred F. Brenner and by Dipl.-Ing. Norbert Körner from the system manufacturer Signalbau-Huber (swarco-Group).   ›› more

Upgrading of Major Intersections in Khartoum (Sudan)
On behalf of GGSC Khartoum and the Ministry of Physical Planning and Public Utilities, Khartoum State, works started on upgrading of major intersections of the primary urban road network in the Sudanese capital city. The project, which is getting executed in cooperation with WSI Frankfurt/Main, includes preliminary and final design services for transforming currently at-grade intersections to grade-separated solutions with the target of providing sufficient capacity under status-quo and future traffic loads. Specific requirements result from the location of the intersections in sensitive urban environments.   ›› more

Optimization of the East-West-Axis in the Holy City of Makkah
The 20 km long East-West-Axis belongs to the most important primary roads of Makkah with specific importance during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. The project on behalf of bw-engineers, Stuttgart, will be executed in cooperation with Zuhair Fayez Partnership, Jeddah, and Karajan Ingenieure, Stuttgart. The assignment comprises traffic surveys, traffic modeling, development and analysis of alternative planning solutions, simulation studies to identify the superior measures and conceptual design services.   ›› more
